Senior Engineering Manager
Alexander Hristov’s career bridges cutting-edge Information Technology and a passion for Education and Science. He began at 11, writing device drivers, and earned two national awards in Spain for his multimedia work in the early 90s. By the late 90s, he developed Spain’s leading real estate appraisal software, handling nearly 40% of the country’s mortgages.
In 2000, he founded Planetalia, advising top Spanish companies across all verticals for nearly 20 years. He later joined ESW Capital/Trilogy as Vice President of Engineering, guiding cloud transitions for numerous acquisitions. Currently, he is a Senior Engineering Manager at Google, focused on Vertex AI.
In education, he represented Bulgaria at the 1990 Voice of the Children conference and has lectured at several universities. He has lectured as a visiting expert in the National University of Distance Education, the University of Murcia and Instituto de Empresa in Spain. He collaborated as a science advisor and script writer with the Spanish Ministry of Education and award-winning TV-producer Lolo Rico for creating a TV series for children for the purpose of popularizing science.
In 2016 he founded the Agora Speakers International Foundation, devoted to helping people (especially the younger generation) develop their leadership and communication skills. Agora aims to create brilliant communicators and confident leaders that will actively build a better world. In three years, he spread Agora to cover over 70 countries in all continents, with over 15.000 members and 120+ regional clubs
